We're excited to share a new feature in Asta, our agentic platform for scientific research: multi-turn conversations for report generation.

What's changed? You're no longer limited to a single prompt and response. If a report isn't quite right, you don't need to start a new thread—just reply to refine it.

Now you can:

• Turn complex prompts into iterative investigations—have Asta adjust scope or focus on a specific angle after seeing the first report
• Ask follow-ups without losing context or citations—Asta retains conversation history across the thread
• @-mention specific papers to pull them into the conversation
• Generate updated reports while keeping access to previous versions, so you can compare or revisit earlier drafts

Reports draw from our corpus of 108M+ abstracts and 12M+ full-text papers. Every sentence is cited, and you can inspect sources via citation cards—clicking through to read the full paper or view highlighted text where licensing allows. We prioritize evidence over confidence: if the data isn't in our library, Asta will clearly label it as general context rather than a cited source.
